100 Lewes Women #60 – Grace Nichols

Guyanese poet, and Sussex resident, Grace Nichols was a guest at mayor Janet Baah’s Girls for Change Day in April 2019 (above). A hundred girls from schools across Lewes talked about what changes they’d like see and their hopes for the future. As part of the day, Grace performed her poems For an Environmentally Friendly Baby and Still Rising. Our Girls Talk report of the day is available to download here:
